About Chamber Music Central
Chamber Music Central was founded in 1997 by Millette Alexander of Westport, Connecticut for the purpose of providing chamber music study and performance opportunities to intermediate and advanced pianists, string and woodwind players. These wonderful instructional opportunities are available during two 2-week Summer Festival sessions as well as during fall and spring academic semester programs, allowing students to continue their chamber music studies and to prepare for performance opportunities available in our surrounding communities. The CMC faculty are fine musicians in their own right and are especially gifted in working with young musicians, bringing out the best in each student in a challenging yet supportive way.
