Beautiful music and valuable Life Skills.
"CMC changed my life in that it ignited and fueled a passion for chamber music that still lingers with me to this day."

The best thing about CMC was that it was a very relaxed, yet efficient atmosphere. The coaches were welcoming, the music was interesting, and the program was exciting. I play the viola, and CMC allowed me to explore fun new techniques for playing the instrument. I learned a lot of new things, such as modes, cadences, composing styles, and the lives of many composers. The simple fact that I could share all of this great information with friendly peers and coaches was the greatest joy on can possibly ever imagine." Max
"We really do have fun -
Serious fun! "

At CMC I grew as a musician.  I learned valuable techniques, but at the same time I learned that there was more to music than notes and rhythms. I learned to tell a story through the music and share it with the audience. I learned how to make magic out of a music sheet. CMC also taught me about life and people. I learned how to work as a team with people I might not have ever met before. I learned how to listen. I learned performance skills that can be used in any kind of performance - from a concert to a speech. I made many friends and have memories that will last a lifetime." Pamela

"The Festival has given me a huge leap in my music theory skills."

"Chamber Music Central was an incredible experience for me this past summer. One of the highlights was my theory class, which was taught by Ms. Alexander. It was fun to be able to try two different kinds of chamber groups with a variety of music and different coaches. I hope I will be able to return for many years to come!" Hannah
"I met some of my closest friends at CMC."

CMC Festival gave me a peek into the musical world. Inspired by CMC, I joined a chamber group that rehearses during the school year and it provides many chances to perform. Not only is CMC Festival a wonderful musical experience, but it also provides a chance to meet people who have the same interests as you." Emily
"Festival opened up a whole new direction in my music career."

"Before CMC, I did not know what chamber music was. If I had never attended CMC, I might not have opened myself up to the great world of chamber music." Erin

2016 - "My daughter has grown from this special experience."

"I am so impressed by what the young musicians were able to accomplish in such a short period of time. She (my daughter) is developing a love for classical music and has been inspired enough to consider starting a second instrument. Thank you." Deborah
2016 - "Jack LOVED it."

"Thank you for all the work that went into this amazing summer program. Jack felt very at home after making friends the first week, and he really enjoyed the group of kids he got to play with. The camp definitely exceeded his expectations. I hope Jack can join you again next year." Ann-Marie
2016 - "McKenna learned so  much, she can't wait to do it again next year."

"Thank you for the wonderful experience." Mia
"I don't know of another program like CMC!"

"Millette Alexander and her faculty of talented musicians manage to work magic. They bring together young musicians, introduce them to the work of wonderful composers, and give them the unmatchable experience of playing music in small groups. It is exceptionally valuable. Students not only have to master parts that are often challenging, they also learn to work with peers who are at different levels, and they learn how to communicate and listen to each other in an intimate musical setting. I am continually amazed at the quality of the experience my daughters have had there. We feel very lucky to have been able to participate in this exceptional program." Pam
"After the first day, he (my son) asked if it was too late to sign up for the second session, too."

"How grateful I am that two of my children were able to experience a summer chamber music camp! There is much depth to Chamber Music Central's Summer Festival.  I was especially concerned that my 9 yr old boy may not have the attention span to last that many hours per day 'doing music'." Rick
"The faculty members were gifted musicians and wonderful teachers."

"My daughter and her friends had a wonderful summer at Chamber Music Central's chamber music festival. I was impressed with the way the program was framed so that children at many different levels of musical experience were able to participate having fun while making music together. the weeks were beautifully planned with chamber classes, theory, master classes and concerts."
2016 - "It's a great thing that young musicians can have chamber music experiences at such a young age."
